Use of Google Analytics

If you have given your consent, this website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC. The responsible service provider in the EU is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google").
Through the use of Google Analytics on our website, we are joint controllers with Google within the meaning of Art. 26 GDPR. However, as Google does not offer the conclusion of a joint controllership agreement pursuant to Art. 26 GDPR, such an agreement could not be concluded.

Scope of processing
Google Analytics uses cookies that enable your use of our website to be analyzed. The information collected by the cookies about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
We use Google Signals. This allows Google Analytics to collect additional information about users who have activated personalized ads (interests and demographic data) and ads can be delivered to these users in cross-device remarketing campaigns.
We use the 'anonymizeIP' function (so-called IP masking): Due to the activation of IP anonymization on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.
During your visit to the website, the following data is collected:
- the pages you visit, your "click path"
- achievement of "website goals" (conversions, e.g. newsletter registrations, downloads, purchases). Newsletter registrations, downloads, purchases)
- your user behavior (e.g. clicks, dwell time, bounce rates)
- your approximate location (region)

- technical information about your browser and the end devices you use (e.g. language setting, screen resolution)
- your Internet provider
- the referrer URL (via which website/advertising medium you came to this website)

Recipient
The recipient of the data is
Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland
as part of a joint responsibility with the website operators. We have not concluded a joint responsibility agreement with Google, as Google does not provide this.
Google LLC, based in California, USA, and possibly US authorities can access the data stored by Google (Patriot Act). This poses a high risk if the user consents to tracking by Google Analytics.

Transfer to third countries
Data is transferred to the USA.

Storage period
The data sent by us and linked to cookies is stored by Google Analytics for at least 14 months. The deletion of data on our site, whose retention period has been reached, takes place automatically once a month.
You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by
a. Not giving your consent to the setting of cookies or
b. Downloading and installing the browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics HERE.

You can also prevent the storage of cookies by configuring your browser software accordingly. However, if you configure your browser to reject all cookies, this may limit the functionality of this and other websites.

Use of Google Ads conversion tracking

We use the online advertising program "Google Ads" on this website and, as part of Google Ads, the conversion tracking of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"). We use Google Ads to draw attention to offers with the help of advertising material on external websites. We can determine how successful the individual advertising measures are in relation to the advertising campaign data. Our aim is to show you advertising that is of interest to you, to make our website more interesting for you and to calculate the advertising costs incurred.

The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an ad placed by Google. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your end device. These cookies generally lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie.

Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of Google Ads customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers are told the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can block this use by deactivating the Google Conversion Tracking cookie via your Internet browser under the menu item "User settings". You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. We use Google Ads on the basis of our legitimate interest in targeted advertising in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. F GDPR. As part of the use of Google Ads, personal data may also be transmitted to the servers of Google LLC. In the USA.

You can obtain further information about Google's data protection provisions at the following Internet address: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy

You can permanently object to the setting of cookies by Google Ads Conversion Tracking by downloading and installing the Google browser plug-in available at the following link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin?hl=en

Please note that you may not be able to use certain functions of this website, or only to a limited extent, if you have deactivated the use of cookies.

To the extent required by law, we have obtained your consent to the processing of your data as described above in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, deactivate this service in the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website or alternatively follow the option described above to make an objection

Google Ads Remarketing

Our website uses the functions of Google Ads Remarketing to advertise this website in Google search results and on third-party websites. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google").

For this purpose, Google sets a cookie in the browser of your end device, which automatically enables interest-based advertising by means of a pseudonymous cookie ID and on the basis of the pages you visit. The processing takes place on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR

Further data processing will only take place if you have consented to Google linking your internet and app browsing history to your Google account and using information from your Google account to personalize the ads you view on the web. In this case, if you are logged in to Google while visiting our website, Google will use your data together with Google Analytics data to create and define target group lists for cross-device remarketing. For this purpose, Google temporarily links your personal data with Google Analytics data in order to create target groups. As part of the use of Google Ads Remarketing, personal data may also be transmitted to the servers of Google LLC. In the USA.

Details on the processing triggered by Google Ads Remarketing and how Google handles data from websites can be found here:
https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

You can permanently object to the setting of cookies by Google Ads Remarketing by downloading and installing the browser plug-in from Google available at the following link:
https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/.

Further information and the privacy policy regarding advertising and Google can be found here:
https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/.

To the extent required by law, we have obtained your consent to the processing of your data as described above in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (A) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, deactivate this service in the "cookie consent tool" provided on the website or alternatively follow the option described above to make an objection

Use of Google AJAX Search API via Java Script Code

We use Google AJAX Search API via JavaScript code, which enables you to search for other websites on our website using Google Search. By using the search field, personal data may be passed on to Google and processed. To prevent the execution of the Java Script code used, you must install a Java Script blocker (e.g. www.noscript.net)

Microsoft Advertising (Microsoft Corporation)

This website uses the conversion tracking technology "Microsoft Advertising" from Microsoft (Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA). Microsoft Advertising places a cookie on your computer if you have reached our website via a Microsoft Advertising ad. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your end device. These cookies lose their validity after 180 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Microsoft and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page (conversion page). If personal data is processed, this is done in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR on the basis of your consent. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future: http://choice.microsoft.com/de/opt-out.

The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics, i.e. to record how many users reach a conversion page after clicking on an ad. This tells us the total number of users who clicked on our ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, we do not receive any information with which users can be personally identified. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, please refuse your consent in our consent banner. We will then not carry out conversion tracking using Bing Ads and you will not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. Alternatively, you can use the deactivation page for consumers from the EU https://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/ to check whether Microsoft advertising cookies are set in your browser and deactivate them.

You can find more information about Microsoft Advertising's privacy policy at the following Internet address: https://privacy.microsoft.com/de-de/privacystatement.

Facebook pixel

In order to analyze and optimize our offer and our advertising measures, we use the so-called "Facebook pixel" of the social network Facebook, Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland, on our pages. The Facebook pixel makes it possible to measure, evaluate and optimize the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes. We only receive reports from Facebook in anonymized form.

With the help of the Facebook pixel, however, it is also possible for Facebook to determine the visitors to our online offer as a target group for the display of ads (so-called "Facebook ads"). Therefore, we form a joint responsibility with Facebook in this case in accordance with Art. 26 GDPR. The Facebook pixel is integrated directly by Facebook when you visit our website and can store a cookie on your device

For the use of Facebook pixels, we have therefore obtained your consent via our consent banner (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR). The consent you have given applies both to the use of the tool and to the transfer of data to an insecure third country (in this case, the USA). US authorities can access the data stored on Facebook (Patriot Act). As a result, there is a high risk if the user consents to tracking or the use of the Facebook tool.
The Facebook pixel allows us to categorize visitors to our website into specific target groups in order to display corresponding advertisements ("ads") on Facebook. The data collected (e.g. IP addresses, information about the web browser, the location of the website, buttons clicked on, pixel IDs and other features) cannot be viewed by us, but can only be used in the context of displaying certain advertisements.
Cookies are also set as part of the use of the Facebook pixel code. We use the Facebook pixel to display the Facebook ads placed by us only to those Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our online offering or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined on the basis of the websites visited) that we transmit to Facebook (so-called "custom audiences").
With the help of the Facebook pixel, we want to ensure that our Facebook ads correspond to the potential interest of users and want to track the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes by seeing whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad (so-called "conversion").

If you have a Facebook account and are logged in, your visit to this website will be assigned to your Facebook user account. If you log in to Facebook after visiting our website or visit Facebook while logged in, the visit to our online offering will be noted in your profile and can be used by Facebook for its own market research and advertising purposes

We also use the additional function "extended comparison" when using the Facebook pixel, whereby data for the creation of target groups ("Custom Audiences" or "Look Alike Audiences") is transmitted to Facebook in encrypted form. Transmitted here are:
- Frequency and duration of page views
- Use of website functions
- Device type and browser settings (operating system, firmware, language settings)
- Purchases made (time, quantity, name[s] of product[s], value)
- Interests (go to www.facebook.com/ads/preferences to view these)
- Demographic characteristics
- Location (via anonymized IP addresses).

Facebook processes the data in accordance with Facebook's Data Usage Policy (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/).

This allows users of the website to be shown interest-based advertisements ("Facebook ads") when they visit Facebook or other websites that also use this process. In this way, we pursue the interest of showing you advertising that corresponds to your interests in order to make our websites more interesting for you.

In order to exchange the respective data, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with the Facebook server. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Facebook through the use of this tool and therefore inform you according to our level of knowledge: Through the integration of Facebook Custom Audiences, Facebook receives the information that you have called up the corresponding website of our Internet presence or clicked on an advertisement from us. Even if you are not registered with Facebook or have not logged in, there is a possibility that the provider will find out and store your IP address and other identifying features.
If you have consented to this, we may pass on your telephone number or e-mail address to "Facebook" in order to be able to show you advertisements that match your interests.
You can find out how the Facebook pixel is used for advertising campaigns at https://www.facebook.com/business/learn/facebook-ads-pixel

More information on Facebook's data policy can be found at https://www.facebook.com/policy.php.

For more information on data processing by Facebook, please visit https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy.

We store your data for as long as we need it for the respective purpose (display of interest-based advertising) and you have not objected to the storage of your data or revoked your consent.

Use of videos from YouTube

We use the YouTube implementation function to display and play videos from the provider "YouTube", which belongs to Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google")

We use the extended data protection mode, which only starts storing user information when the video(s) is/are played. If the playback of the implemented YouTube videos is started, the provider "YouTube" uses cookies to collect information about user behavior.
According to information from "YouTube", these are used, among other things, to record video statistics, improve user-friendliness and prevent abusive behavior. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account when you click on a video. If you do not wish to be associated with your YouTube profile, you must log out before activating the button.

Google stores your data (even for users who are not logged in) as usage profiles and analyzes them. Such an evaluation is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of Google's legitimate interests in the display of personalized advertising, market research and/or demand-oriented design of its website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact YouTube to exercise this right.
When using YouTube, personal data may also be transmitted to the servers of Google LLC. in the USA. Regardless of whether the embedded videos are played, a connection to the Google network is established each time this website is accessed, which may trigger further data processing operations without our influence. Further information on data protection at "YouTube" can be found in the provider's privacy policy at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.

To the extent required by law, we have obtained your consent to the processing of your data as described above in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Newsletter

If you subscribe to our email newsletter, we will send you regular information about our offers. Personal data is collected for this purpose. The only mandatory information for sending the newsletter is your e-mail address. The provision of any other data is voluntary and is used to address you personally. This data is used by us for our own advertising purposes in the form of the e-mail newsletter, provided that you have expressly consented to this as follows:
"Yes, I would like to subscribe to the newsletter! I have taken note of the data protection information"

We use the so-called double opt-in procedure to send the newsletter. This means that we will only send you an email newsletter if you have expressly confirmed to us that you consent to the newsletter being sent. We will then send you a confirmation email asking you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter in future by clicking on the corresponding link.

By activating the confirmation link, you give us your consent to the use of your personal data in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR. When you register for the newsletter, we store your IP address entered by the Internet service provider (ISP) as well as the date and time of registration in order to be able to trace any possible misuse of your email address at a later date.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link provided in the newsletter or by sending us a message to this effect by email to info@rathgeber.eu. Once you have unsubscribed, your email address will be immediately deleted from our newsletter mailing list and included in a blocking file to ensure that it can be revoked.

Newsletter dispatch via Optimizley Campaign

Our email newsletters are sent via the technical service provider
Optimizley Campaign, Wallstraße 16, 10179 Berlin ("Optimizley"),
to whom we pass on the data you provided when registering for the newsletter. This transfer takes place in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR and serves our legitimate interest in using an effective, secure and user-friendly newsletter system.
The data you enter for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter (e.g. e-mail address) will be stored on Optimizley's servers in the EU.
Optimizley uses this information to send and statistically evaluate the newsletter on our behalf.
For the evaluation, the emails sent contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which are one-pixel image files that are stored on our website. This allows us to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links have been clicked on. Conversion tracking can also be used to analyze whether a predefined action (e.g. purchase of a product on our website) has taken place after clicking on the link in the newsletter. Technical information is also collected (e.g. time of access, IP address, browser type and operating system). The data is collected exclusively in pseudonymized form and is not linked to your other personal data. A direct personal reference is excluded. This data is used exclusively for the statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses can be used to better adapt future newsletters to the interests of the recipients.
If you wish to object to data analysis for statistical evaluation purposes, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter.
We have concluded an order processing contract with Optimizley, in which we oblige Optimizley to protect our customers' data and not to pass it on to third parties.

Change to our privacy policy
