Corporate social responsibility
Sustainability has been at the heart of the RATHGEBER Group's corporate philosophy for over 20 years. We take our commitment seriously and consistently focus on a sustainable, long-term strategy based on a solid set of values.
We take responsibility for people, the environment and society and expect the same from our partners.
Sustainable by conviction
We want to play a positive role in shaping the world in which we all live and work together. As a medium-sized family business operating throughout Europe and now in its third generation, we combine tradition with innovation and sustainability. Our aim is to always reconcile profitable growth with ecological and social aspects. Our focus is not on short-term profits, but on generations.
We were proud to be one of 12 companies worldwide to receive the "SDG Pioneer 2024" award from the UN Global Compact in New York in September 2024. This is a great incentive to continue our sustainability journey with full energy.
We take responsibility for our actions
Transparency is important to us
For many years, we have been working systematically throughout the company and at all locations to harmonize economic, ecological and social aspects. The transparency of our sustainability management helps us to develop concrete goals, processes and measures to improve ourselves. This all helps us to manufacture your items as sustainably as possible and to be able to deliver them to you in a climate-neutral way and with a product carbon footprint.
We prepare a sustainability report every two years on a voluntary basis. The report for the period 2022/2023 will be published in 2024.
From the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (UN), three SDGs were selected in 2021 in each country in which the RATHGEBER Group is based, on which CSR activities will be increasingly focused.
SDG 13 - Climate action is also set for the entire Group.
Since March 1, 2011, the RATHGEBER Group has been part of the UN Global Compact and is committed to respecting human rights, fair labor standards, environmental protection and the prevention of corruption.
In September 2024, we received a special honor: Our Managing Director and owner Andreas Schrägle was recognized by the UN Global Compact as one of twelve new SDG Pioneers of the Year 2024 worldwide out of around 1000 applicants and the only one from Western Europe and North America.
The SDG Pioneers program honors professionals who contribute to achieving the SDGs by 2030 through innovative approaches and business models. The award winners come from different regions of the world. Through a rigorous selection process that includes both local and global rounds, the program recognizes individuals who demonstrate exemplary commitment, innovation and leadership in advancing the SDGs.
We want to know if something is not working properly and rectify any shortcomings. That is why we have set up a neutral reporting office. If there is something to complain about or improve, both our employees and external parties have the opportunity to report this confidentially.
Sustainability is firmly anchored in our DNA
In our 75-year company history, we recognize the valuable contributions of all those who have accompanied us on our sustainability journey over three generations: These include our employees, our customers, our suppliers, our partners and numerous other people and institutions.
Sustainability in the RATHGEBER Group is not just a superficial and short-term concept, but has been deeply rooted in the company for many years.
We look resolutely to the future throughout the Group and act in accordance with our CSR mission:
Sustainability and responsibility in the RATHGEBER Group: a matter of honor!
