Starting point: Spaces that adapt flexibly—worldwide

Whether conference rooms, convention centers, banks, or trade shows: 
For over 130 years, Dorma Hüppe has been developing mobile partition wall systems that enable the intelligent use of spaces. Flexible, high-quality, durable - and easy to use in daily operations.

With the goal of making space management clearer, more efficient, and smarter for users, the next step was a logical one:
combining the physical product with digital information. 

The idea: Information exactly where it’s needed

In collaboration with smart‑TEC, the partition systems were equipped with NFC labels “Mount on Metal” - attached directly to the side panels, robust, flat, and permanently functional on metal.

For this digital solution to be feasible in everyday use, a label is needed that can do more than just carry information. This is where RATHGEBER’s labeling expertise comes into play.

The label was developed specifically for Dorma Hüppe’s requirements: mechanically resilient, permanently adhesive on metal, resistant to daily use - and at the same time designed to blend harmoniously into the product design.

The material composition, adhesive system, printing, protective coatings, and shape were coordinated so that the NFC label functions reliably throughout the entire service life of the partition wall systems. Unobtrusive in appearance, uncompromising in performance.

Only this robust, application-optimized labeling lays the foundation for smart‑TEC’s NFC technology to reach its full potential. 

The moment of use: simply “tap”

For service partners, technicians, or operators, this means:

• Hold a smartphone or tablet up to the NFC label
• Alternatively: Scan the QR code
• IDconnect opens automatically

And suddenly, everything you previously had to search for is right there: operating instructions, care instructions, maintenance information - and direct contact with Dorma Hüppe’s service department.

More than just a label: the product becomes uniquely identifiable

The NFC chip stores the object-specific SAP and item numbers.
This ensures that every partition system is uniquely identified worldwide—quickly, securely, and without any detours.
