Eau de Gin | When honest craftsmanship meets precise labeling

07.05.2026
The customer example shows how material, depth of detail and attitude make a product tangible - visible, tangible and consistently well thought out.

How does a fragrance become a story - and a product an experience? The collaboration between Little Urban Distillery and Rathgeber shows how important material, depth of detail and attitude are for the perception of a brand.

A product with a claim to independence

Little Urban Distillery stands for artisanal gin distillation without compromise. From the very beginning, founder Robert Urbánek wanted to create more than just another product on the shelf: Each creation should convey a clear attitude - honest, precise and unmistakable.

With Eau de Gin, the manufactory deliberately ventured a step beyond the classic world of spirits. The aim was to create an independent perfume inspired by the scent of distillation - not a promotional item, but a fully-fledged product with character and depth.

This quickly made it clear that the labeling also had to live up to this claim.

Two worlds - consistently connected

Distillation and perfumery have more in common than it seems at first glance: both thrive on balance, on working with intensity and on the memory of fragrance.

Eau de Gin was intended to convey this connection not only olfactorily, but also visually and haptically. The first contact - picking up the bottle - should make it tangible that something special is being created here. The labeling thus became a decisive part of the overall experience.

Aluminum label from RATHGEBER

In the search for a high-quality metal label, RATHGEBER was the obvious choice. The decisive factor was not only the technical expertise, but above all the understanding of materiality, precision and detail work.

Thin 0.3 mm aluminum labels were used, giving the product a calm, clear presence. Not a printed image, but a real piece of metal - cool, precise and durable. It was precisely this characteristic that matched the idea of Eau de Gin: reduced, high-quality, without gimmickry.

Precision down to the last detail

The development of the final labels was characterized by close collaboration. Fine aspects were coordinated together with the RATHGEBER experts:

  • Refraction of light on the surface
  • Fit accuracy on the bottle
  • Depth and effect of the embossing
  • Readability of even the smallest lettering

Every nuance had an influence on how the product is perceived. The aim was to create an embossing that could be experienced tactilely - present but not dominant.

Result: a coherent overall picture

The interplay of fragrance, bottle and aluminum label creates a first impression that works - and a second impression that convinces. Customers reach for the perfume, consciously pick it up and feel the quality.

The success is particularly evident in post-purchase behavior: returning customers bring back empty bottles and opt for Eau de Gin again. For Robert Urbánek, this is the strongest signal of consistent quality - visible and tangible.

Added value: labeling as a brand statement

The metal label fulfills much more than just an informative function. It strengthens the Little Urban Distillery brand in its entirety. Attention to detail creates trust - not just in the individual product, but in the attitude behind it.

The aluminum label also offers room for further stories for future projects and limited editions. Especially for small series, labeling can become a carrier of character, value and collector's appeal.

Conclusion

Eau de Gin shows how labeling can become an integral part of a product experience. When material, design and content interact, closeness is created - between brand and people.

A closeness that lasts.
