A touch of fantasy - Maison Noir enhances fragrance worlds with embossed aluminum labels
08.10.2025
Maison Noir doesn't just create perfumes - the Swiss company invites you on a journey through fragrance worlds that can be experienced through stories, colors and shapes. Behind every numbered door in its collection lies a new olfactory chapter - whether as an eau de parfum or a scented candle. The creative aspiration: to design sensory experiences that go far beyond smell.
Packaging as a sensory experience
This also includes the packaging. Because it is the first thing that customers see, touch - and feel. To underline the high-quality presentation of the fragrances, Maison Noir uses detailed embossed aluminum plates. These not only give the flacons and scented candles an exclusive feel, but also a special depth - in keeping with the brand world, in which reality and fantasy intertwine.
Exclusive details: embossed aluminum plates
The emblems come from the RATHGEBER Group - an experienced specialist for high-quality product labels with a variety of materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, plastic or natural materials - combined with creative finishes.
Different versions were created for Maison Noir: embossed aluminum signs with a 3D look, gold-colored, with a colored outer edge. They are used in two sizes for the perfume bottles. A curved shape was also developed for the scented candles. In addition, a special version was created with an additional high-resolution digital print on a gold-colored background, which further enhances the visual interplay of color and light.
The challenge: to harmonize aesthetics, brand message and technical precision. Maison Noir applies the highest standards to the design of every detail - from fragrance production in France to the development of the packaging in Switzerland. The numbered fragrances - such as Icarus 347 or Somnia 517 - are given a tangible identity by the metallic emblems, which consistently continue the concept of "The Gateway to Olfactive Journeys".
"Great perfumes must tell stories"
"We believe that great perfumes must tell a story," says Claudio Denz, co-founder of Maison Noir. "This includes all elements - from the fragrance to the visual design to the tactile impression. The metallic labels help us to convey the emotional depth of our brand world to the outside world."
The result is a packaging solution that is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also functional and durable. It underlines the brand's premium claim and at the same time supports orientation in the collection. Because every number, every color and every embossing has a meaning.
In this way, the label itself becomes part of the story - and an invitation to open the next door.
