Logo’s NFC technology means easy access to training videos, care instructions and other information

Airex unveiled the first-ever training mat to have a built-in NFC chip made by smart-TEC, the RATHGEBER Group’s RFID and NFC specialists, at the ISPO trade fair, the world's biggest sports exhibition, in Munich at the end of January 2016. The mat becomes a ‘smart’ mat thanks to this built-in chip, enabling you to use an NFC-enabled smartphone or tablet to access information about the mat including care instructions, as well as about other interesting products. The main benefit of this intelligent feature, however, is that you can access an integrated library of exercise programmes, as well as care instructions and recommendations for your training. Thanks to these options, you also have the chance to personalise the mat as well.

What at first glance looks like a nicely designed Airex logo is in fact smart-TEC’s intelligent NFC chip itself. This chip is integrated into a CHROMOTION® emblem, making it soft to touch, flexible, yet at the same time extremely robust.
